Tue, 12/03/2024
Committed to environmental development and transparency, we are thrilled to share three recent confirmations: our Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) offering insight into our products’ environmental impact, Marmite’s SCS Recycled Content Certification for sustainable shower trays, and joining Polish Green Building Council – an organization working toward more sustainable built environment.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRODUCT DECLARATION – EPD
In order to enable our customers to assess the verified environmental performance of our products, we are committed to transparency in this regard. Through the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), we openly provide information about the environmental balances of our products. This is a globally recognized and accepted environmental label (Type III) in accordance with ISO 14025. This document provides a standardized and detailed description of the product’s impact on the environment throughout its entire lifecycle (LCA): from raw material extraction, through production, transportation, assembly, usage, all the way to disposal and recycling. It quantifies resource extraction, energy consumption in the production process, water usage, and waste generation.
SCS RECYCLED CONTENT CERTIFICATION FOR SHOWER TRAYS
Marmite received globally recognized certificate that confirms the minimum amount of recycled content in their shower trays (empty and the full bottom tray)* . The SCS Recycled Content Certification evaluates products made from pre-consumer or post-consumer material diverted from the waste stream. Certification measures the percentage of recycled content for the purpose of making an accurate claim in the marketplace. Our shower trays meet the SCS Recycled Content Standard V7-0 for Minimum 17% Post-Consumer Recycled Polyester and Glass Content.
* The certificate applies to all shower trays manufactured in Marmite on the SL1 and SL2 lines.
