Mon, 15/09/2025
An interview with Brian McCluskie, CEO of ES Group, reflecting on Marmite’s journey from private label pioneer to global partner — and the role of innovation and collaboration in shaping its future.
50 years is a major milestone. What makes Marmite most proud as you look back?
– What stands out most is our journey from being a small manufacturer, to becoming a trusted partner for customers around the world. Over these five decades, we have consistently stayed ahead of competition through innovation, mastering mineral composite techniques, and delivering beautiful, award-winning designs. But above all, we are proud of the strong, long-lasting relationships we’ve built with our customers and the professionalism of our people.
Marmite has always worked as a private label manufacturer. How has this shaped your approach?
– Being a private label pioneer has defined who we are. We don’t just manufacture — we co-create with our customers. Our open-door policy has welcomed countless partners into our factory and showroom in Poland, where transparency and collaboration drive new ideas. Over the past 50 years we have grown significantly, but we have always stayed close to our customers. Together, we have shaped products that bring affordable luxury to homes worldwide.
Looking ahead, what can customers and employees expect from Marmite in the future?
– The future is about building on what we do best: innovation, partnership, and excellence. We want to continue mastering design and moulding techniques, to remain leaders in mineral based materials, and to keep delivering value that makes our customers successful. This anniversary is not just about celebrating the past — it’s about renewing our commitment to shaping the next 50 years, together.
